After playing in the 1999-2000 Under-19 World Cup for New Zealand, Jamie How made his debut for Central Districts the following season. Following a consistent season in 2004 How, an opening batsman, was awarded his one-day international debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka, and made a fluent 58 to guide New Zealand to victory.
